PICSA is featured in a new CCAFS news post reporting on the Rwanda Climate Services for Agriculture (RCSA) project in Rwanda. PICSA plays a crucial role in RCSA through the communication of timely, accurate and locally relevant climate information to assist smallholder farmers’ decision-making. The news post describes how new partnerships with the UK Department for International Development (DFID), International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), and Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) are broadening RCSA into post-harvest and agribusiness support. New partnerships with the UK Met Office, CIAT and the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI) are also enhancing the development and use of early warning services. RCSA is thus building on the strong foundations laid by PICSA to enhance the delivery of useful and usable climate services for farmers in Rwanda.
