Roman and Early Medieval Alloys Defined

REMADE (Roman and Early Medieval Alloys Defined) aims to radically shift our approach to archaeological metals, while addressing serious structural challenges in the current UK heritage sector. It will bring together new scientific and social approaches to copper-alloys, and place chemical analysis at the heart of the humanities. By recognising and tracking the shifting biographies of objects it gives science a new role in UK archaeology. Through training and outreach programmes it will create new connections in a fractured heritage industry and provide new access to analysis.
