As GenAI technologies increasingly shape how media is created, modified, and reused, archives face urgent and complex questions around authenticity, provenance, intellectual property, and ethical use. The Trust in Archives Initiative (TAI), a cross-disciplinary collaboration of archivists, archival producers, technologists and other stakeholders, has released a set of tools designed to support ethical engagement between AI and archives. The initiative is led by the Archival Producers Alliance (APA).
