Project TROPICAL is a collaborative effort between researchers at the University of Reading (UoR), UK and the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) India.
Working closely with the Reddiarchatram Seed Grower’s Association (RSGA) and small holder farmers in rural Tamil Nadu growing moringa and mango, the team are investigating if floral interventions can boost pollinator numbers and pollination services in these two key crops and provide a positive impact on yield and quality of produce thereby improving small holder livelihoods in this region.
