Dr R. Rengalakshmi

Dr R. Rengalakshmi is the Director of the JRD Tata Ecotechnology Centre, M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF), Chennai. She is an Agronomist by academic training and pursued post-graduation in AnthropologyShe has over 25 years of experience as a development researcher and field-level practitioner. Her interests are in the areas of inter-disciplinary research on technologies, institutions and policies on agriculture and natural resources management. She is one of the Co-Investigators in the project.

 

 

 

Dr S. Malarvannan

Dr S. Malarvannan is a Senior Scientist in JRD Tata Ecotechnology Centre, MSSRF, Chennai. He is an Agricultural Entomologist. He has made significant contributions in Agricultural Entomology, in particular, Integrated Pest Management during a span of 25 years. His work has contributed to the exploration of traditional plants for bio pesticidal activity, mass multiplication of biocontrol agents, the establishment of Eco enterprises at farm level and coordinating several projects. He has trained the farmers on sustainable crop protection and has published more than 60 research articles.

 

 

 

Dr B. Selvamukilan

Dr B. Selvamukilan is a Senior Scientist within the Ecotechnology program area of the MSSRF at Kannivadi, Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, India. He has a PhD in biotechnology on the biocontrol of Fusarium wilt of banana. He has 20 years experience in promoting organic farming and the establishment of Eco enterprises to improve the livelihoods of resource-poor farmers. He provides field-level advisories to farmers and assists in conducting field research. He has published case studies, articles and participated in conferences. He is one of the Co-Investigators in the project.

 

 

Mr R. Ranjith

Mr R. Ranjith is a Senior Research Fellow and a postgraduate in Agricultural Entomology. He has researched botanical pesticides. He also has professional experience in the mass production of mushroom spawn, biocontrol agents, entomopathogens and biofertilizers. He has trained the farmers on organic ways of pest management and has published more than 10 research articles.

 

 

 

 

 

Mr P. Manikandan

Mr P. Manikandan is a Senior Research Fellow and a postgraduate in Agricultural Entomology. His research to date includes host plant resistance and hormonal pest control. He also had professional experience in culturing various groups of insects, rice hybridization, molecular techniques, biochemical analysis, field evaluation of pesticides. He has published more than 10 research articles and 5 popular articles.

 

 

Mr. R. Seenivasan – RSGA Facilitator

Mr R. Seenivasan is a Botanist/Organic farming specialist in India, with more than 10 years’ experience in the field. He is a Senior Scientist in M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, India.  He has rich experience in agricultural practices, organic farming practices and SHG federation development activities.
