Boosting biodiversity, ecosystem services & livelihoods through floral interventions

The team has worked with The M S Swaminathan Research Foundation and smallholder farmers in Tamil Nadu, India, to co-design floral interventions with co-flowering crops to boost the abundance & diversity of beneficial insects – both pollinators and natural enemies of pests. This has improved pollination and pest regulation, increased yield & quality of produce and enhanced livelihoods in these communities with new farmers beginning to adopt these practices.
