The SPEICAL group would like to congratulate Giulia Mengoli who successfully defended her PhD thesis this month. In addition, one publication from her PhD has recently been recognized as one of Wiley as one of the top 10 most-cited papers published in 2022-2023. Giulia’s groundbreaking paper, titled “Ecosystem Photosynthesis in Land-Surface Models: A First-Principles Approach Incorporating Acclimation,” has made significant strides in the field of land-surface vegetation models. It is excellent to see Giulia making such a significant impact through her research. Congratulations!
