The 2026 British Psychological Society Psychobiology Section Annual Scientific Meeting will be held at the University of Reading on Thursday 3 September and Friday 4 September 2026.

The Gut–Brain Axis: A Psychobiology Perspective:

Across the two-day meeting, delegates will enjoy a full scientific programme, including keynote presentations, selected talks, poster presentations, and research showcases from undergraduate and postgraduate bursary winners.

The symposium will include a keynote address by Professor Phil Burnet from the University of Oxford, alongside a selection of cutting-edge presentations exploring the dynamic interplay between the gastrointestinal system and psychological processes. On the Friday, there will be a further Keynote address by Professor Bhismadev Chakrabarti from the University of Reading.
