In an exciting day hosted by Pain Research Reading in association with pain research project PAINSTORM*, the mysteries of pain are unravelled through talks, hands-on demos, workshops, interviews and art installations. And an opportunity to be in the audience for a live recording, in the majestic surroundings of the Great Hall, of the PAINSTORM podcast – PAINCAST – hosted by BBC Radio 3’s Fiona Talkington with a panel including Professor Andrew Rice, President of the IASP, and Professor David Bennett Professor of Neurology and Neurobiology at the University of Oxford.

This will take place on Sunday, 22nd June 2025 from 09:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the University of Reading on London Road Campus. Lunch & refreshments will be provided, as well as an number of catering venues located around the campus.

This event is open to all to experience a variety of exciting activities,  with opportunities to learn more about pain research, and will welcome members of the PAINSTORM research team. A collaborative research project between academia (University of Oxford, Imperial College London, University of Dundee, University of Aberdeen, Ghent University, King’s College London), industry (Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca), and Patient Partners.
