We are interested in investigating the effects of an enzyme-treated asparagus stem (ETAS®) supplement on brain function and thinking abilities. Asparagus contains natural compounds, including antioxidants, which may help protect the brain and support healthy ageing. Enzyme treated asparagus stem (ETAS®) supplements, has been linked in previous research to improvements in mood, sleep and certain aspects of cognitive function. In this study, we will explore how ETAS® affects cognition and brain activity in adults aged 60–80 years. This research will help us better understand whether ETAS® could be a useful nutritional supplement for supporting brain health as we age.
