Join us in CINN for a paid summer research placement through the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP).

Open to mid-degree students from all disciplines with an interest in integrative neuroscience.

Human thought and behaviour are underpinned by a complex interplay of psychological and physiological mechanisms. The use of multi-modal imaging and multi-level computational modelling allows investigation of these dynamical interactions in typical and atypical development across the life span. This allows us to contribute to dealing with global challenges, including safeguarding mental health, supporting neurodiversity, tackling obesity, slowing cognitive decline, and promoting healthy ageing. At the Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics (CINN) we take an interdisciplinary approach, since we embrace the complexity inherent to the interdependence between physiology, cognition and wellbeing. This involves collaborative work across neuroscience, cognitive science and philosophy, systems biology, cybernetics, mathematics and statistics, psychology and language sciences. Students selected through a competitive process will choose the project they are most interested in and be embedded into a research group within the interdisciplinary research centre.
