Dr Anastasia Christakou, Professor Doug Saddy, and Professor Tom Johnstone talk about the importance of staying on the cutting edge of technology in neuroscience.

With the installation of a new scanner, CINN and the University of Reading expands their technological capabilities and also can be used for collaboration nationally and internationally as well as clinical and practical applications in neuroscience. It will also mean that researchers will have training in the latest technology, and be used for the training of undergraduates and the next generation of researchers.

The new scanner will look into the brain with much higher clarity and faster data accumulation. Researchers will have the chance to study neurochemistry to bring analytical techniques all the way from molecules to the level of the mind, helping provide the best research and unravel the main problems in neuroscience and mental health.
