Research Output Prizes

2025 Research Output Prize Winners

Dinosaurs, ancient Rome, insects and Chinese cities are the subjects of the early career researcher (ECR) projects awarded prizes this year.

The ECR Output Prize is an internal research funding scheme recognising standout published studies by researchers in the initial stages of their careers across all four of our research themes.

Each winner was awarded £1,000 to support the continuation of their research at Reading.

Professor Parveen Yaqoob, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), said: “Congratulations to this year’s ECR Output Prize winners on their outstanding outputs. Each of the winning outputs reflects the University’s mission to apply expertise and solutions to global challenges and questions.

“It is clear from the entries to this awards scheme that Reading has a bright new generation of research minds coming through and we will continue to support them in their careers.”
