Professor Adrian Bell is Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, a researcher at Henley Business School at the University of Reading and holds his Chair in the History of Finance.
With colleagues he has developed a fascinating database of medieval soldiers. The database is made available free of charge for anyone to use, but donations are always welcomed.
Donations will help to grow the database by adding more historic records that have already been transcribed. Gifts will enable us to gather new data, enhance the services provided on the database website – expanding capacity with datasets developed by other researchers, adding an enquiries service, video user guides and maps.
