DON’T BE A FOOD WASTER

Food waste is a growing global concern, with households contributing to a large proportion of the total wasted food. EUFIC, KU Leuven, Technische Universität München and the University of Reading are working together to help tackle this issue by delivering the EIT Food-funded project –‘Don’t be a food waster.’
This project aims to investigate why food waste occurs in the home, examine consumer perspectives on food waste and identify solutions to solving the problem. The project will use this research and knowledge to develop a social awareness campaign, getting audiences to proudly say ‘I am not a food waster’ with the ultimate goal of reducing food waste levels in the home.
