The QUISPER project aims to be the first digital platform able to translate scientifically validated data into personalised nutrition advice through a single portal. As part of this project, the University of Reading team has further developed and validated the e-Nutri web app, which comprises an online dietary assessment via a validated food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) and automated derivation and delivery of personalised dietary advice according to a Diet Quality Score (DQS). Improvements have been made to the online FFQ to capture food intake more effectively and a novel DQS has been developed. Personalised nutrition advice is based on a consumer’s food intake, food preferences, dietary requirements, and genetic, anthropometric and biomarkers data.
The main objective of the QUISPER platform is to provide people with personalised nutrition advice to help them make healthier and long-term sustainable dietary choices. Services offering personalised nutrition advice can now be connected to the recently launched new beta-version of the platform.
