The EPTH provides participants with the opportunity to study a Professional Doctorate (PhD) in either Agrifood or a specialist subject area.
The Professional Doctorate in Agrifood has been developed in conjunction with the agrifood industry as a highly flexible programme that can be tailored to individual training needs, to enable professionals working in the agrifood sector to undertake high level, structured, continuing professional development. Alternatively, a specialist Professional Doctorate programme allows individuals to focus on a particular area of interest.
Academic Credits Required: 540 (120 taught & 420 credit research project)

The Professional Doctorate in Sustainable Food Quality for Health (DAgriFood) programme offers industry professionals the opportunity to develop their professional roles and to implement an independent programme of research within the workplace. The DAgriFood programme provides an award at doctorate level that is distinct from a traditional PhD award and is directly relevant to the needs of the individual’s professional work setting. The DAgriFood programme consists of a flexible taught component of postgraduate training coupled with a doctoral level research project conducted in the workplace.
