Prof Slawomir J Nasuto is a Director of Brain Embodiment Laboratory (BEL), a unique interdisciplinary facility comprising two experimental laboratories performing research in, respectively, neural cultures and neuroengineering and Brain Computer Interfaces, using tools from compex systems science and information processing, including dynamical systems, complex networks and machine learning.
His research interests span cognition, artificial intelligence and philosophy of cognition, computational neuroscience. His experimental and theoretical research informs, and in turn benefits from, fundamental questions about cognition, but he is also actively pursuing, most notably in brain computer interfaces, potential therapeutic and rehabilitation applications.
