Il mio periodo di ‘secondment’ negli archivi italiani è iniziato e io ho già dovuto esibirmi in un paio di Elevator Pitch nelle ultime due settimane (se non ricordate di cosa si tratti, ne parlo qui), e sicuramente dovrò ripetere la mia performance decine di volte nelle prossime settimane.
Ecco perché ho deciso di fare un video del mio pitch. Sì, il mio primo video! Mi è stato detto che è un modo migliore e molto più immediato per comunicare la mia ricerca, ma dato che sono una noob per i video, ero così tesa che ho dovuto fare svariate riprese e tagli e alla fine mi è costato più tempo che non scrivere un articolo intero. Ma è così che si impara a usare nuovi media, giusto?
Comunque, il video è la versione italiana del mio Elevator pitch, e mi interessa sapere cosa ne pensate. È abbastanza chiaro ed esaustivo? Vi sembra un progetto interessante? Insomma, sareste curiosi di saperne di più anche se siete ‘arrivati al vostro piano’?
My period of secondment in Italian archives has started and I’ve already had to perform a couple of Elevator Pitches in the last two weeks, and I’m certainly going to repeat my ‘performance’ dozens of times in the next weeks.
That is why I’ve decided to make a video of my pitch. Yes, my first video! I was told this is a great and more immediate way to communicate my research, but since I’m quite a newbie with videos I was so tense that I had to make several shots and final cuts so it cost me more time than writing a complete article but… this is how we learn to use new media, am I right?
The video is the Italian version of my pitch, but I’ll soon shoot an English version, since I’m pretty sure I’ll be soon going to need it in English as well…
