Hybricon is a project that examines the effects of hybridization on conflicts trajectories in Madagascar. Hybridization is a phenomenon involving the interactions between the local and the international, creating various situations such as collaboration, acceptance, rejection, clashes and even high levels of violence. This country has been in contact with external actors, their cultures and ideologies, or their modes of governance. How conflict dynamics in Madagascar have been shaped by hybridization is at the heart of this project. The team working on the project is a group of Malagasy researchers and communicators involved with peacebuilding and development.
