Welcome to the Waiting for Godot Learning Materials page

This webpage is designed to give you a 10 Module Course on Beckett’s most famous play, Waiting for Godot. The materials are appropriate for students at any stage of their studies. They have been designed for Secondary and Further Education schools, colleges and universities as the information in each Module can be adapted to suit your level. Students and teachers will find videos, podcasts, music, images, and detailed information about a variety of aesthetic, political, and biographical topics related to Samuel Beckett’s play. Each Module also includes links and references to related websites and scholars whose work on Godot has been highly influential. Teachers may find the ‘Question Bank’ particularly useful when thinking of essay and debating topics. The modules have been written with a chronology in mind, so click on the first link below to begin!
