Training Overview 2026-2027

Internal Training

Staff from the DH Hub and IDRC DH offer a range of training opportunities to help researchers, professional services staff, and PhD students develop the digital skills they need to support their work in an increasingly digital age. Our training program covers a variety of tools, methodologies, approaches, and techniques. Most of our offerings are designed to be accessible, allowing all staff to participate.

Training is designed to support research activities and may include topics such as data management, digital research methods, AI and emerging technologies, digitisation, mapping and visualisation, web-based tools, digital project development and databases. This list is not exhaustive, and we also support other training across the University delivered by colleagues using DH methods.

Alongside live training, the team is currently developing more asynchronous materials, available under our Resources tab. Introductory ‘What is Digital Humanities’ training, which was previously delivered by the DH Officer, is being transformed into a UoRLearn Course, which will be recommended to all new research staff as part of their professional development training.
