The Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health recently celebrated its first anniversary with a 1 day conference themed around ‘Translational nutrition: From research to real life’.

Colleagues from across the University joined with valued external stakeholders from a wide range of organisations to hear from a diverse range of speakers, covering areas as broad as gamification, personalised nutrition, sustainable dairy production systems and food insecurity.

Professor Arne Astrup from the University of Copenhagen, and David Gregory, Visiting Professor at the University of Reading provided insightful and stimulating keynote addresses; and key issues and challenges were debated in a lively panel discussion that concluded a highly engaging and positive day.

Many thanks to all those that were able to join us. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
