Professor Julie Lovegrove, Director of the Hugh Sinclair Unit of Human Nutrition at the University of Reading and President of the Nutrition Society recently attended the Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetics Society 1st International Conference on NCDs opened by the President of Pakistan, His Excellency Arif Alvi.
Julie delivered a welcome address highlighting the challenges of NCDs and the opportunities for future collaboration with the Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetics Society.
Professor Julie said:
“I believe it is not good enough to just believe in international nutrition science collaboration, nor is it good enough to just talk about such collaboration. I believe, as President of the Nutrition Society, we must take action to deliver international collaboration. I look forward to start taking that action here in Pakistan over the next few days.’’
