We were very pleased to be invited to present at the ‘Practical Management of Food Allergy in Children’ virtual conference on 18 November. This was organised by University College Hospital, Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health and the Allergy Academy. The course was aimed at healthcare professionals, particularly dietitians and clinicians.

Professor Ian Givens, IFNH Director took part at the event and gave a talk on ‘Milk and dairy products: their role in the diet at key life stages’ with some mention of paediatric allergy to cows’ milk protein. This led to many questions in particular about the value of plant-based milk alternative drinks for young children and whether fortification of these would be helpful. Subsequent feedback from the organisers was excellent.
