We are delighted to announce the first of two workshops on research synthesis in linguistics. Funded by the British Academy, our project on Advancing Research Synthesis in Linguistics aims to promote a step-change in the use of research synthesis in linguistics and allied fields. Our first workshop will take place in-person at the University of Reading from June 29th – July 1st, 2026 and will focus on Metascience and Research Synthesis in the Language Sciences. Delivered by Professor Luke Plonsky (Northern Arizona University), this 3-day workshop will provide an overview of how research synthesis can be used in the language sciences.
