PhD Studentships

The University of Reading has a number of PhD studentships available that applicants can apply for to begin PhD study in September 2024. More details for three specific calls that staff in the lab would be interested in supporting are provided below.

Magdalen Vernon Studentship (Deadline: December 8th, 2023)
The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences is happy to offer the Magdalen Vernon Studentship. This is a 4-year PhD award that covers fees and provides a graduate teaching assistantship. This year, the Magdalen Vernon Studentship is open to UK and International applicants. The deadline for applications is December 8th, 2023.

SEDarc PhD Studentships (Deadline: January 12th, 2024)
The University of Reading is part of the ESRC funded SEDarc Doctoral Training Partnership which awards studentships for either PhD study, or combined MSc/PhD study involving a 1-year MSc followed by a PhD. These studentships are open to UK and International applicants. Please see the University’s SEDarc webpage for further information. Applicants interested in applying to Reading for a SEDarc studentship should also fill in the Expression of Interest form as soon as possible. The deadline for full applications at Reading is January 12, 2024.

University of Reading International PhD Studentships (Deadline: January 8th, 2024)
The University of Reading also offers 3-year International PhD Studentships to International students which cover fees at the international rate and a subsistence grant (stipend). The deadline for applications for International PhD Studentships is January 8th, 2024.
