PhD Studentships

The University of Reading has a number of PhD studentships available that applicants can apply for to begin PhD study in September 2023. For general information, please see the Graduate School webpages on funding opportunities. More details for three specific calls that staff in the lab would be interested in supporting are provided below.

SeNSS PhD Studentships (Deadline: Expressions of interest by December 9th, 2022)
The University of Reading is part of the ESRC funded SeNSS Doctoral Training Partnership which awards studentships for either 3-year PhD study, or combined MSc/PhD study involving a 1-year MSc followed by 3-year PhD. These studentships are open to UK and international applicants. Interested applicants should contact i.cunings@reading.ac.uk with an expression of interest as soon as possible, and no later than December 9th, 2022.

Magdalen Vernon Studentship (Deadline: December 9th, 2022)
The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences also offers the Magdalen Vernon Studentship. This is a 4-year PhD award that covers fees and provides a graduate teaching assistantship. This year, the Magdalen Vernon Studentship is open to UK and international applicants. The deadline for applications is December 11th, 2021.

University of Reading International PhD Studentships (Deadline: January 9th, 2023)
The University of Reading also offers 3-year International PhD Studentships studentships to (non-UK) international students which cover fees at the international rate and a subsistence grant (stipend). The deadline for applications for International PhD Studentships is January 9th, 2023.
