The Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism is pleased to invite you to an online talk provided by Professor Merel Keijzer (University of Groningen) entitled Language learning as a vaccine to promote healthy aging: the linguistic, social and cognitive effects of third-age language learning. The talk will be held on April 27th at 4.00pm (UK time), and is a part of the ‘The Multilingual Mind’ lecture series on multilingualism from the perspective of various disciplines (linguistics, education, neuroscience, and speech/language pathology).

This lecture series is co-organized by The Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism together with Bilingualism Matters@Reading, and four other European universities which participate in the Marie Curie International Training Network MultiMind. The series includes lectures by early-stage researchers as well as by leading scholars in the field of multilingualism. It aims at creating a platform to present the multi-faceted research on multilingualism with a view to building bridges between various research approaches in the field.
