Professor Jonathan Bignell visited Damascus, Syria, to present a series of talks and take part in a workshop organised by Damascus Theatre Lab with the support of the British Council in Syria. Participants included theatre directors, actors, scenographers, dramaturgs and critics, who met to discuss Beckett's work for the theatre and the various television adaptations of Beckett's theatre plays.
