The Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism (CeLM) is delighted to announce the first of two workshops at the University of Reading on research synthesis in the language sciences and allied fields. Funded by the British Academy, these workshops form part of the Advancing Research Synthesis in Linguistics project that aims to promote a step-change in the use of research synthesis across the language sciences.
Our first workshop will take place in-person at the University of Reading from June 29th – July 1st, 2026 and will focus on Metascience and Research Synthesis in the Language Sciences. Delivered by Professor Luke Plonsky (Northern Arizona University), this 3-day workshop will provide an overview of how research synthesis can be applied in the language sciences.
