CeLM and Bilingualism Matters@Reading together with colleagues from UCL and MultiLing Oslo will be presenting the findings of a study on language use in multilingual families during the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK, Ireland, and Norway.
School closures and social distancing measures have meant more time at home over the last year for millions of multilingual children with potentially more exposure to their home languages. In this event we will reflect on the challenges and opportunities that this situation has opened up for multilingual children of different ages and language backgrounds.
